Eric Jennings, M.D.

Dr. Eric Jennings is a fellowship-trained Ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery as well as management of cornea and external disease and refractive surgery.

He graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Jennings completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital.  During his residency he was recognized with several awards including Resident of the Year and Society of Teaching Scholars Outstanding Resident Educator.  In addition, he served as Chief Resident during his final year of residency. Following residency, Dr. Jennings furthered his training at the University of Florida completing a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Jennings is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.  He sees patients at our Decatur and Snellville locations.

His clinical interests include no-stitch and laser-assisted cataract surgery, Glaucoma, and medical and surgical management of corneal diseases including corneal transplantation and refractive surgery (PRK, LASIK).

Dr. Jennings is a native of Atlanta, and is excited to return home.  He enjoys watching football, exercising and spending time with his wife, Jessica and daughter, Riley.
